Line formula
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006605
A two-dimensional structural formula in which atoms are joined by lines for single and multiple bonds and no spatial direction of the bonds is implied. In the abbreviated skeletal variant, carbon atoms sit at line ends and vertices and hydrogens on carbon are omitted. It should not be confused with Wiswesser line notation, which is a string code.
