Kind-of-property
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006341
A general aspect of things, such as colour, transparency, length, or amount of substance, by which phenomena, bodies, and substances are told apart qualitatively. Its values lie on nominal scales (green, blue), ordinal scales (small, large), or quantity scales (2 m, 5 m), so kind-of-quantity is only one subtype. Substance concentration is a kind-of-property, whereas the substance concentration of glucose in plasma is a specific property.
