Base kind of quantity

A fundamental property of a phenomenon, body, or substance that can be quantified and serves as a basis for defining other quantities. These are independent of each other and form the foundation of a system of quantities. In the International System of Units (SI), there are seven base quantities, including length, mass, and time.
