Coherent system of units of measurement
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002184
A system of units where all derived units are formed from a set of base units without introducing any numerical factors other than one. This means that the product or quotient of any two unit quantities in the system results in a unit quantity that is also part of the system. The International System of Units (SI) is a prime example of a coherent system, built upon seven base units.
