Stereoblock polymer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011366
A polymer whose molecules are stereoblock macromolecules, each with at least two blocks of the same constitution but different tacticity along its chain. The blocks are stereoregular, but they need not all be, since one block may be atactic. Isotactic-atactic polypropylene stereoblocks, which behave as thermoplastic elastomers, are an example.
