Symptom

Any subjective evidence of disease or a change in physical or mental condition as perceived and reported by the patient. It represents a departure from the normal state of health and includes feelings such as pain, nausea, fatigue, or anxiety. A symptom is distinguished from a clinical sign, which is an objective indication of disease observed by a healthcare professional during an examination.
