Term · Computing and IT · MLC-T-CMP-000046
An Application Not Responding (ANR) error occurs when an application's user interface thread is blocked for an extended period, preventing it from processing input events or drawing. The operating system detects this unresponsiveness and displays a dialog to the user, offering to close the application. On Android, an ANR is triggered if the main thread is blocked for more than five seconds.
