A distributed, immutable digital ledger used to record transactions in a secure and transparent manner. Transactions are grouped into blocks, and each new block is cryptographically linked to the previous one, forming a chain. This structure makes it extremely difficult to alter past transactions, as changing one block would require altering all subsequent blocks.
