CCD
Term · Computing and IT · MLC-T-CMP-000167
A charge-coupled device is an integrated circuit containing an array of linked or coupled capacitors, used to capture images in digital cameras, scanners, and astronomical telescopes. When light strikes the sensor, it creates an electrical charge in each pixel, which is then converted into a digital signal. CCDs are known for their high image quality and low noise.
