Cell reference

A way to identify a specific cell or a range of cells within a spreadsheet, allowing formulas to use data from other locations. References can be relative, adjusting when copied to other cells, or absolute, remaining fixed regardless of where the formula is moved. An example of an absolute reference is '$A$1'.
