Denial of service

An attack that aims to render a computer system or network resource inaccessible to its legitimate users. This is achieved by overwhelming the target with a flood of traffic or by exploiting vulnerabilities that cause the system to crash. Such attacks can disrupt websites, online services, and critical infrastructure for extended periods.
