Full-duplex
Term · Computing and IT · MLC-T-CMP-000473
A communication system that allows data to be transmitted in both directions simultaneously over a single channel. This contrasts with half-duplex, where data can only travel in one direction at a time, or simplex, which permits transmission in only one fixed direction. Ethernet networks often operate in full-duplex mode to maximize throughput.
