Diode
Term · Computing and IT · MLC-T-CMP-000307
A two-terminal electronic component that conducts current primarily in one direction, exhibiting low resistance to current flow in that direction and high resistance in the reverse direction. It acts as a one-way valve for electricity, allowing current to pass when forward-biased and blocking it when reverse-biased. Diodes are fundamental components in rectifiers, voltage regulators, and signal demodulators.
