Heap
Term · Computing and IT · MLC-T-CMP-000519
A region of memory used for dynamic memory allocation, where blocks of memory are requested and released by a program during its execution. Unlike the stack, memory allocated on the heap persists until explicitly deallocated or the program terminates. Memory management on the heap can lead to fragmentation or memory leaks if not handled carefully.
