WAVE

A standard audio file format developed by Microsoft and IBM for storing uncompressed audio data. It is a subset of the Resource Interchange File Format (RIFF) specification. WAVE files typically contain raw, uncompressed pulse-code modulation (PCM) audio, resulting in large file sizes but high fidelity.
