Correlation Analysis
Term · Environment · MLC-T-ENV-006746
1. (Analysis of) the association or the relationship between variables.
2. (Analysis of ) a quantitative relationship between two or more input variables of a model (e.g., body weight, inhalation rate, skin surface area). In analyses involving timedependent variables, a change in one variable is accompanied by a change in another time-dependent, correlated variable.
3. (Analysis of ) the degree to which two or more quantities or events are linearly associated, a statistical relation between two or more variables such that systematic changes in the value of one variable are accompanied by systematic changes in the others.
