Aflaj

An ancient irrigation system originating in Oman, consisting of underground channels that tap into groundwater sources or springs and transport water by gravity to agricultural areas. These systems are designed to provide a continuous and equitable water supply for farming and domestic use. The aflaj systems are recognized as UNESCO World Heritage sites for their historical and engineering significance.
