Olla

Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-003989

A traditional unglazed terracotta pot with a narrow neck, buried in the soil and filled with water to provide a slow, controlled release of moisture directly to plant roots. This ancient irrigation method minimizes water evaporation and runoff, making it highly efficient for conserving water in arid or semi-arid agricultural settings. Olla irrigation is particularly effective for small-scale gardening and orchards.
