Axial lead

A type of electrical component packaging where the connecting wires or leads extend from opposite ends of the component body along its central axis. This design allows components like resistors, capacitors, and diodes to be easily mounted through holes on a printed circuit board or soldered in point-to-point wiring. Axial leads are common for cylindrical components.
