Bean-shot copper

A form of copper produced by pouring molten copper into water, causing it to solidify into small, irregular, bean-shaped pieces. This method of granulation creates a high surface area material that is easily handled and dissolved. It is frequently used as a raw material in alloying or for chemical processes where a finely divided form of copper is desired.
