Black copper

An impure form of copper produced during the initial smelting stages of copper ores, containing a high percentage of iron, sulfur, and other impurities. It has a dark, often dull appearance due to the presence of these contaminants. This material requires further refining processes, such as converting and electrorefining, to achieve commercial-grade purity.
