Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-001050

A unit of time equal to one one-hundredth (10⁻²) of a second. This small time interval is used in scientific and engineering fields for measuring the duration of rapid events, such as in high-speed photography, reaction kinetics, and the timing cycles of certain electronic control systems. A centisecond is equivalent to 10 milliseconds, and there are 100 centiseconds in one second.
