Comb
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-001250
A process in textile manufacturing that removes short fibers, neps, and impurities from cotton or wool fibers, aligning the remaining longer fibers parallel to each other. This results in a smoother, stronger, and more lustrous yarn. Combed cotton, for example, is known for its softness and reduced pilling compared to carded cotton.
