Cotton card

A process in textile manufacturing where cotton fibers are disentangled, cleaned, and aligned into a continuous web or sliver. This prepares the fibers for spinning into yarn by removing impurities and short fibers. Carding machines use a series of wire-toothed rollers to achieve this separation and alignment.
