Crossbar switch

A type of electronic switch matrix that allows any input line to be connected to any output line. It consists of a grid of horizontal and vertical conductors with a switch at each intersection. This architecture provides full connectivity between multiple input and output channels, commonly used in older telephone exchanges and some data routing applications.
