A measurement of the internal volume of a cargo area, such as in a truck trailer or shipping container, expressed in cubic feet or cubic meters. This metric indicates the maximum amount of freight that can be loaded based on its bulk. For example, a standard 53-foot dry van trailer has a volume of approximately 4,000 cubic feet.
