Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-001522

A manufacturing process used to produce high-quality, high-performance solid materials. This technique involves exposing a substrate to volatile precursors, which react or decompose on the surface to form a thin film. CVD is widely used in the semiconductor industry to deposit thin films of silicon, silicon dioxide, and other materials with precise thickness control, often measured in nanometers.
