Wafer

A thin slice of semiconductor material, typically silicon, used as the substrate for fabricating integrated circuits and microelectronic devices. These circular discs undergo numerous processing steps, including doping, etching, and deposition, to create complex electronic components. Standard wafer diameters range from 100 mm to 300 mm.
