Dead-bug

A method of assembling electronic circuits where components are mounted upside down with their leads pointing upwards, resembling a dead insect. This technique is often used for prototyping or small-scale production when a printed circuit board is not available or practical. Connections are made by soldering component leads directly to each other or to a ground plane.
