Elevator
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-002016
A primary flight control surface located on the horizontal stabilizer of an aircraft, used to control pitch and thus the aircraft's climb or descent. By deflecting the elevator, the pilot changes the angle of attack of the horizontal stabilizer, generating a pitching moment. This control surface is typically hinged at the rear of the stabilizer.
