Endogangue

The portion of gangue minerals in an ore deposit that is syngenetic with the valuable ore minerals, having crystallized from the same mineralizing fluids. This material is an intrinsic part of the ore-forming event, co-precipitating with the target metals or minerals within a vein or other geological structure. Endogangue is distinguished from exogangue, which consists of fragments of the surrounding country rock that were incorporated into the deposit during its formation.
