Jigging
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-003127
A mineral separation process that uses a jig to concentrate valuable minerals from gangue based on differences in specific gravity. The material is fed onto a screen, and water pulsations cause the bed to expand and contract, stratifying the particles. This method is effective for separating coarse to medium-sized particles.
