Schlich
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-005072
A heavy mineral concentrate obtained from the washing of crushed ore or alluvial sediments. This material is the product of gravity separation techniques, such as panning or sluicing, which remove lighter gangue minerals like quartz and feldspar. The resulting schlich is a dense, dark sand rich in ore minerals, which is then sent for further processing or assaying to determine its metal content.
