Tying
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-006277
A method of ore dressing that involves washing crushed ore on an inclined surface to separate heavier, valuable minerals from lighter waste material. Water flows over the ore, carrying away the lighter particles while the denser minerals settle and are retained. This technique is a form of gravity separation, often used for tin and tungsten ores.
