Tramble
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-007322
To wash ore in a stream of water to separate the valuable mineral from lighter waste rock and impurities. This gravity separation process involves agitating the crushed material, allowing the denser ore particles to settle while the less dense gangue is carried away by the current. Trambling is a traditional and simple form of ore dressing, often performed using sluice boxes or similar apparatus.
