Recrystallization

Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-004725

The process where deformed grains in a metal are replaced by a new set of strain-free grains during annealing. This phenomenon occurs above a specific temperature, reducing the internal stress and increasing ductility. The new grains nucleate and grow until the original microstructure is consumed.
