A gradual reduction in the amplitude or intensity of an electrical signal, sound, or light over a period. This effect can be intentional, such as in audio production, or unintentional, resulting from signal loss or component degradation. In radio communication, it describes the weakening of a received signal due to atmospheric conditions or distance.
