Fanin

The maximum number of input signals that can be reliably connected to a logic gate or other digital circuit without degrading its performance or exceeding its input current limits. It is a measure of the gate's input loading capability. Exceeding the specified fan-in can lead to incorrect logic levels or slow propagation delays.
