Hold time
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-002856
The minimum duration that a data signal must remain stable at the input of a sequential logic device, such as a flip-flop, after the active clock edge has occurred. This period allows the internal circuitry to reliably capture the data. Failing to meet the specified hold time can lead to metastability or incorrect data latching.
