Holder-up

A metalworker who supports a rivet from one side while it is being hammered from the other. This person uses a heavy, shaped block of steel called a dolly or bucking bar, pressing it firmly against the manufactured head of the hot rivet. The force from the pneumatic hammer on the other end forms the buck-tail, or shop head, completing the fastening.
