Clock generator
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-001163
An electronic oscillator that produces a timing signal for synchronizing operations within a digital circuit. This signal, often a square wave, dictates the pace at which sequential logic elements, such as flip-flops and registers, change their states. The frequency of the clock signal is measured in hertz (Hz).
