Clocked
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-001167
Relating to a digital logic circuit whose state transitions are synchronized by a periodic signal known as a clock. In such synchronous systems, components like flip-flops and registers change their output values only at specific points in the clock cycle, such as the rising or falling edge of the clock pulse. This contrasts with asynchronous circuits, which operate without a central clock and respond to changes in input signals as they occur.
