Edge-triggered

Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-001969

Describing a digital circuit or device that responds to a change in the input signal's voltage level, specifically when it transitions from low to high (rising edge) or high to low (falling edge). This contrasts with level-triggered devices, which respond as long as the input is at a certain voltage level. Edge-triggered flip-flops are fundamental building blocks in synchronous digital systems.
