Finger joint

A woodworking joint made by cutting a series of interlocking, finger-like projections on the ends of two pieces of wood. These projections are then glued together, creating a strong and stable connection with a large surface area for adhesion. This joint is commonly used for lengthening timber or creating strong corners in boxes and drawers.
