French seam

A durable and neat seam finish that encloses the raw edges of the fabric within the seam itself. It involves sewing two lines of stitching, first with wrong sides together, then trimming, pressing, and sewing again with right sides together. This technique is suitable for sheer fabrics and garments where a clean interior finish is desired.
