Galilean invariance
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-002500
A fundamental principle in classical mechanics stating that the laws of motion remain unchanged in all inertial frames of reference. This means that an experiment performed in a stationary laboratory will yield the same results as one performed in a laboratory moving at a constant velocity. It forms a cornerstone of Newtonian physics, contrasting with relativistic invariance at high speeds.
