HS-DSCH

High-Speed Downlink Shared Channel, a transport channel in UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) networks designed for high-speed data transmission from the network to the user equipment. It supports adaptive modulation and coding, as well as fast scheduling, to maximize downlink throughput. HS-DSCH is a key component of HSDPA (High-Speed Downlink Packet Access).
