An electrical device that converts direct current (DC) electricity into alternating current (AC) electricity. This conversion allows DC power sources, such as batteries or solar panels, to supply power to AC-powered equipment or to feed into an electrical grid. Inverters are characterized by their output waveform, which can be square wave, modified sine wave, or pure sine wave.
