LSD
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-003450
A limited-slip differential, a type of automotive differential that allows for some difference in rotational speed between two output shafts, but also limits the maximum difference. This mechanism improves traction by transferring torque to the wheel with more grip when one wheel starts to slip. Many performance vehicles and off-road vehicles incorporate an LSD.
