Marine glue

A waterproof and flexible adhesive compound used for caulking the seams of wooden boat decks and hulls. It creates a durable, watertight seal that accommodates the natural expansion and contraction of timber planks exposed to moisture and temperature changes. Traditional formulations are based on pitch, tar, or a mixture of shellac and rubber, and are applied hot into the seams between planks before being scraped flush.
